Talking about building HTTP APIs with AWS Lambda on a meetup at New10. This is where my serverless journey started, one year before to be more precise.
I was given the task to ensure that API Gateway and Lambdas could serve HTTP requests for production workloads. This involved lots of research and development, benchmarking cold starts, a lot of trial and error, but eventually we made it happen. I had become a big fan of Koa in 2015, and taking from its await premise, I wrote a small and fast web framework targeting Lambdas weighing just 44kb which eventually powered dozens of microservices for many years.
